INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP 

Individual Practicing Professionals

Practicing Professional Members serve as environmental justice, racial and economic justice, food justice, health equity, political power, civil rights and human rights professionals, or are actively engaged in those professions. They are interested in supporting the mission of NBEJN. The Practicing Professional Member enjoys all of the rights and privileges of membership. Participation in a Working Group is required.

Individual Affiliate Members

Individual Affiliate Members do not work as practicing environmental justice professionals. They share the goals and goals and support the mission of NBEJN. The Individual Affiliate Member benefits from the networking and information dissemination activities of the network and is equally represented by NBEJN in its advocacy efforts before federal, state and local governments. Individual Affiliate Members do not have voting privileges and may not be elected or appointed to an office. Participation in a Working Group is required.

Retiree

Retiree membership is for those retired individuals who have been active members and are not currently working in the environmental justice, racial and economic justice, food justice, health equity, political power, civil rights and human rights profession. Membership allows retirees to stay connected with the profession and continue taking advantage of all rights and privileges of membership.

Student

Student members are working and/or registered, undergraduate or graduate students at an educational institution. Student members should be interested in, or actively engaged in, environmental justice,  racial and economic justice, food justice, climate justice, health equity, political power, civil rights and human rights or a related field. They enjoy all of the rights and privileges of membership and can be elected or appointed to an office.  Participation in a Working Group is required.

Young Professional

Young professional members are early-career professionals aged 21-35 working in the field of environmental justice or a related field (racial and economic justice, food justice, climate justice, health equity, political power, civil rights and human rights). Young professional members can be elected or appointed to an office.  Participation in a Working Group is required.
